Students demand extension in dates for submission of online forms for PG courses at KU | KNO

Srinagar, June 04 (KNO): Students who completed bachelor’s degree in the month of April have demanded extension of dates for filing for various post-graduate courses in the University of Kashmir.

Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) students of batch 2016 have demanded re-opening of link to submit forms for various post-graduation courses at Kashmir University. Mudasir Ahmad Mir a student, who completed his bachelor ’s degree in the month of April, said that many like him couldn't go out to fill the forms on time due to the strict lockdown enforced in view of Covid-19 outbreak. He said people were indoors and there was no other alternative available to ensure that one could fill the forms.

Another student, Umer Dhobi said that there have been internet curbs in the valley several times in the past several months which is why some of the students have not been able to fill the forms for admission to various courses. He said not only the pandemic is a major hurdle but one can't fill the form on their cell phones though many managed by majority of the desiring students are yet to register online.

Insha another student said that amid these challenging circumstances and prevailing situation due to Covid-19 it was quite impossible to come out of homes and fill the forms. She said Kashmir university should either extended the date and re-open the link for online registration and form filling or chalk out some way to facilitate students amid these distressing times. The distressed students appealed the Kashmir university authorities to extend the date for submission of online forms/ registration for post-graduation (PG) courses so that no student is made to face any hardship—(KNO)
